Disclosure: I built CrazyCap, and it is included here for the workflow it is designed for. Record a Mac window or display with mic and system audio; after you stop, CrazyCap adds click-following zooms, smooth cursor movement, click pulses, and a framed background. Studio lets you adjust zooms and trim the recording, then export a local 1080p MP4. It suits short launch videos and feature walkthroughs when you want a polished result without working through a full editing timeline. The tradeoff is that it is a Mac app for video output, not an interactive web tour.

Camtasia combines screen recording with a multitrack editor for screen, camera, and audio. Add callouts, transitions, cursor effects, and other edits when a demo needs careful pacing or will become part of a larger training library. It runs on macOS and Windows. The flexibility comes with more editing decisions and a paid plan for clean exports, so it is a better fit when that control is worth the extra production time.

Arcade is for guided, clickable product walkthroughs that you can embed on a website or share with prospects. Viewers move through the steps themselves, and Arcade offers branching and engagement insights for teams measuring how people use a tour. Pick a video recorder instead if you need narration, a downloadable MP4, or to show motion that a static step-by-step capture cannot explain as clearly.
